Wow. Always loved this tune by The New Pornographers. I dig it a thousand times more after seeing the video.

digitally revised.

No shit.

We're all aware that a lot of what we see in magazines is touched up, cloned, airbrushed, etc.
A friend of mine works as a graphic artist around Europe, mainly in Sweden and Spain. Every now and then we like to update each other on our latest projects/jobs and transfer some of our work and concepts over the computer. He sent these shots a few years back while he was working at a magazine company. Obviously, a before and after shot with some serious and pretty seamless Photoshopping added in.

Here's what was done:
Lassoing; to trim out areas around the entire body.
Cloning; to stamp out any cellulite or imperfections around her skin. Colour correcting and airbrushing; to give her a sun-kissed glow.
A few touch ups to the face; the chin area in particular.
A bikini colour change.
Oh and let's not forget the removal of gushing water that was streaming out of her crotch. Yeah, that had to go too.

We're always shown the perfect after shot. I thought it was really cool to see the before with it for once.

Cheers.

seven and a half hour days; five times a week.

According to the lady who sits in the Administrations Office (and the papers that I signed off to her), I'm scheduled to work Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm. Yip Yip Yip Yip Yip. Uh huh, uh huh.

I try to make my time here at work as productive as possible. Really, I do. The truth is though, we're all humans and we need our little series of escapes throughout the day to keep our sanity. Naw’mean?

Check the emails.
Browse the blogs.
Switch up the itunes playlist.
Google a trailer.

Whatever the fix, it's totally necessary for the gang here, to prevent us from a robotic breakdown.

I can't help but smirk when I walk down the hallways and pass all the little elves in their cubicles; seeing them jolt up when they hear footsteps approaching. Minimizing browsers. Xing movie players. Hilarious. And I swear one Indian man at the end of the hallway has been staring into abyss at the exact same PDF document for about 2 months now. I can bet money on it.

In my mind, work stops a half hour before it should.
I'm not sure if this is some sort of mode I've trained myself into, or just my brain needing an early dismissal but I just can't seem to work up until the last minute of the work day.

7 1/2 hour days at most.

Tough beans.
