Corporate branding is a bitch.
By early November, the thought of creating another logo for a client with
no comprehension of good design made me want to vomit all over my keyboard. It's always a battle selling the "less is more" approach when the client has visions of BIGGER,
BOLDER and with colourful mascots wearing party hats. I find that when patience is short and creative juice is running low it's best to walk away from it all for a while to regain your sanity.
After a two month hiatus, I'm feeling refreshed and ready to take on 2008 diligently.
Above are some of my favourite compositions from '07.

I like most of your logos. Very prof.
do they give you any guidelines to work with? like colour scheme? how do you come up with so many different ones? do you really like blue? do you ever feel blue? how do you feel about cerulean?
come to work. i'll sell you a piano.
Ha ha!
Basic guidelines are given by the clients, along with the tone or feel of the company and the colours they think would represent the business well. Blue, blue, blue. Blue's alright. I like red. Red's a strong colour. Red doesn't fly well with too many corporate companies though as it represents caution and oh oh oh danger! They love the blue. BIG FANS of the blue. Wooo. Do I ever feel blue? Hell ya. Hey blueee, here is a song for you. Joni Mitchell nevah liesss. Cerulean? Goes great with tanned skin. That's all I can say about cerulean really.
Definitely in the market for a plastic piano.
I'll shut up now.
