Mom and sis, May of 1981 (according to the faded blue ink on the back of the photo).
I came across this last night for the first time while flipping through and old album. I don't remember much about the first house we lived in. I can vaguely remember the main hallway/stairs and maybe a few pieces of furniture, but the avocado-green tiled walls and red prints that make up this bathroom seem completely foreign to me. My mother looks shy and proud. I associate nothing but simplicity and innocence with this photo and time.

my mom would always rip my hair out when she shampood it. I learned how to do it myself without getting any in my eyes really fast. She doesn't look impressed either...great shot.
